Moving Hearts, Enlightening Minds
Longy School of Music announces the headline performances of its fall season, beginning with SeptemberFest 2008. Featuring more than 50 Longy faculty, students, alumni and guests,

change and that we live in a realm of infinite possibility," said Wayman Chin, dean of the Conservatory. The concert series is Longy's gift to the community, made possible by ongoing donor support; free admission. To view all programs and performers, click here.

Faculty, Alumni in Print and Broadcast Media Worldwide
It's been quite a summer for Longy newsmakers, including many of our faculty and alumni. Here's just a sampling:
· Janet Packer (in photo), chair of Strings, was interviewed on a live radio show "Monday Night with the Arts" (August 18) on CKWR, 98.5 FM, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
· Alumnae Laury Gutierrez (viola de gamba), Daniela Tosic (mezzo-soprano), Ruth McKay (harpsichord) and Na'ama Lion (Baroque flute, Longy alumna and faculty) were featured in a Boston Sunday Globe article (August 17) titled "On a quest to give female composers their due."
· At the Stamford Music Festival, England, the master class of Wayman Chin, dean of the Conservatory, was promoted by the Stamford Mercury (August 4); Stamford Living magazine (July) called him a "brilliant pianist and inspiring teacher."
· The International Baroque Institute at Longy concert "The Passions of the Soul" received high marks from the Boston Globe (July 28). For more Longy news, click here.
