SCHOLARSHIP DINNER, TWO NEW CAMPAIGNS
|
|
'It's About Heart'
Greeting nearly 40 students, faculty and donors who attended the annual Scholarship Dinner on April 25, Conservatory Dean Robert Shay said, "This is a chance for Longy donors and scholarship recipients to share their experiences." In photo with her sponsored student Yuko Tanaka is Trustee Chair Bonny Boatman, who endowed a scholarship in her mother's memory and summarized the evening's sentiment: "This is about more than excellence in music. It's about heart." To learn how your gift can help talented students attend Longy, please contact Elizabeth Sloane, Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
Two Campaigns for a Strong Finish
Longy has launched two fundraising campaigns to sprint to the end of academic year 2007-08: the Gratitude Campaign, in which Longy students can honor their teacher (and earn a tote bag!); and the Momentum Campaign, stimulated by matching funds from an anonymous donor. "Every nonprofit is feeling the pinch of today's economy,
and Longy is no exception," said President Karen Zorn. "Your gift to the Annual Fund will help with student scholarships, facility upkeep, instrument repair and other critical expenses of a professional music school. We simply can't do it without
you." To make your gift, please click the links above or the "donate now" button, below in lefthand column.
