Longy in the Berkshires
Art of Chamber Music
July 1 – July 14, 2012
Wayman Chin, director
The Longy School of Music of Bard College is thrilled to offer a new experience for teenagers and college-aged pianists and instrumentalists. Under the guidance of resident faculty artists and guest master teachers, participants in the Art of Chamber Music Program participate in two weeks of intensive training in chamber music. Daily activities include coaching and performance classes led by world-class faculty and guest artists deeply committed to collaborative music making. The program builds-in ample time for individual practice, rehearsing and recreational activities.
Situated on the picturesque and artistically vibrant grounds of Bard College at Simon’s rock, the Art of Chamber Music allows students to experience summer in the Berkshires fully immersed in an atmosphere devoted to music-making at the highest level--a truly transformative experience.
Pre-formed groups (duos, trios, quartets and quintets) are welcome to apply.
